The lenders and finance providers we work with may include funders introduced to us through finance partners such as Tandem and others on our lending panel. The specific lender(s) your application is sent to will depend on your circumstances and the finance product requested.

Credit reference and fraud prevention agencies

In order to process a finance application, the lenders and finance providers we introduce you to will typically carry out credit and identity checks. They may search the files held about you by credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies, and the records of those agencies may be updated as a result. These searches help lenders assess your creditworthiness and affordability, verify your identity, and prevent and detect fraud and money laundering. The credit reference and fraud prevention agencies will keep a record of these searches and may share your information with other organisations.

Lenders are independent data controllers

Once your information is passed to a lender or finance provider, that organisation becomes a data controller in its own right and is responsible for how it uses your personal data.
